Well the time has come to say goodbye to my beloved MX5. Tomorrow morning the car will be picked up and exported to France where it will be handed out to his new owner.

I hope that the car will give her us much fun as I had while driving this wonderful car.

Mazda MX5 Karai

The Karai is the new MX5 special edition. The car is limited to 165 units and available in Germany.

The details sound very promising. The buyer of the special edition gets a lime green paint job which is complemented by a black retractable roof. The 17 ” wheels, mirrors and grilles are also painted in black adding a very “sporty” look to the car.

The cabin is held in black, including the Recaro sports seats, steering wheeland dashboard trims. Mazda added a set of aluminum pedals, wrapped the seats in Alcantara and the steering wheel in leather.

The 30000€ car comes with the 2.0l 160HP engine and fully equiped.

As an extra Mazda has added a very cool “SINN” watch, which matches the looks of the car.

As you may have read on my blog I had serious thoughts about selling my beloved MX5, but after doing a lot of thinking I came to the conclusion to keep it a little longer.
I guess this was more like a “Midlife Crisis” thing

Thailand Car Spotting

Well here I am, back from our northern Thailand roundtrip. Early this year we had planned to make a trip to Japan, but due to the sad events over there our trip was cancelled. So we choosed Thailand for this years destination. All in all it was a great experience. The trip went from Bangkok to the golden triangle on a bus and then back to the south on a short flight. We have seen a lot of the Thai culture, the people and the nature. Of course I kept in mind that I had to spot out some cars over there for you to post on my blog, but in this part of the country tuned cars were the least we have seen. Over 90% of the cars were pick ups which made sense because the biggest source of capital was farming, so trucks were needed to transport all the harvested goods.

So just to give you a small idea I post some quick shots of some vehicles we saw on our trip which were not necessarily trucks.
